For CATA, products such as this demonstrate
exactly why the brand deserves consideration from retailers looking to offer something different.
The CATA 700 difference The CATA 700 portfolio demonstrates that approach particularly clearly.
The range includes built-in ovens, induction hobs, vented induction hobs and extraction, and more, giving retailers the opportunity to build a consistent CATA-branded proposition across multiple key kitchen categories. At the heart of the oven offering are the
CAT72MFBK multifunction single oven and CAT72PYBK pyrolytic single oven. Both offer a 72-litre capacity, A+ energy rating, full-touch controls and a sleek black-glass aesthetic. The multifunction model features 13 cooking functions, rapid pre-heat, a true fan with grill, Sabbath mode and 100% telescopic rails, while the pyrolytic model adds 14 functions and pyrolytic self-cleaning. For retailers, these are products that can be specified confidently as part of a higher- end kitchen, without necessarily carrying the price expectation associated with some of the traditional premium names.
The same philosophy extends to induction. The CATIND90HF is a 90cm, six-zone flex induction hob, combining a Schott Ceran® glass surface with three flex zones, 10.8kW of power and nine power settings plus two boost settings. It also introduces features including Pot Move, pause and recall
functions, four
temperature-controlled warming settings and Chef, Grill and BBQ modes. Hob-to-hood connectivity adds another layer of flexibility when designing a complete cooking solution. Then there is the CATDD77CHF, a 77cm
four-zone flex vented induction hob that brings cooking and extraction together in a single appliance. With two flex zones, integrated extraction delivering up to 630m³/h, six fan speeds and an A++ energy rating, it is designed around one of the key trends in contemporary kitchen design: the desire for clean, open spaces without a traditional hood dominating the area above an island. Its compact platform also has a minimum installation height of just 170mm, providing additional flexibility for kitchen planning.
Extraction expertise at the core Extraction remains an important part of CATA’s identity, and the company’s heritage in the category gives the CATA 700 proposition additional credibility. The CATAGM60MB angled glass hood, for example, combines a matt-black finish with hidden touch controls, three fan speeds plus boost, A++ energy efficiency and airflow of up to 486m³/h on boost. It also incorporates a BLDC motor, reflecting CATA’s focus on efficient, modern extraction technology. Brushless DC motors are a key feature
across CATA’s branded hood proposition, helping deliver efficient operation alongside the performance expected from a modern extraction appliance. This is where the combination of heritage
and current product development becomes important. CATA isn’t relying on its history alone; it is using decades of appliance manufacturing experience to develop products designed around the needs of today’s kitchens.
More than just the product For CATA Appliances UK, building the brand also means making sure retailers have the support behind the product. The business operates from its UK headquarters in Normanton, West Yorkshire, and has an in-house service team supporting the brand in Britain. That local infrastructure is an important part of the proposition, particularly for independent retailers who need confidence that an appliance brand will remain accessible after the sale. CATA also offers a five-year parts and three- year labour warranty on its CATA 700 branded products, giving both retailers and consumers additional
reassurance. Product support,
genuine spare parts and service are all available through the UK operation. The company’s manufacturing and quality
credentials are further supported by its ISO certification, reinforcing the importance CATA places on consistent processes and product quality. For retailers, that creates a proposition
that extends beyond the appliance itself: competitive pricing and margins, premium- looking products, established manufacturing expertise and UK-based support.
Building for the future CATA’s ambitions for the UK are ultimately about establishing a stronger long-term presence for the brand. After more than 12 years in the UK, the business has the foundations in place. The next stage is to increase awareness of CATA among retailers and consumers and demonstrate what the branded range can offer. The CATA 700 products are an important
part of that strategy because they showcase the breadth of the brand particularly well — from sophisticated built-in cooking to flexible induction, integrated extraction and high- specification hoods. For retailers,
the opportunity is to offer
customers a credible alternative to the established premium brands while retaining the commercial benefits that come with CATA’s positioning. “We’re not

trying to be the cheapest,”
Matthew Davies reiterates. “We want retailers to see CATA as a proper branded alternative.” That may ultimately be the clearest way to understand CATA’s UK strategy. This isn’t about trying to win a race to the bottom. It is about building a brand based on Spanish heritage, manufacturing expertise, thoughtful design and strong product specification — while giving retailers the margins, pricing and UK support they need to make the proposition work commercially. With the CATA 700 range providing a strong foundation, the message from CATA Appliances UK is clear: the brand is here to compete, and it believes it has earned a place alongside the established names in the UK appliance market.
