J.C. Campbell Electrics was established 49 years ago in Northern Ireland. The retailer has always prided itself on its excellent level of customer service as it always strives to meet its customers’ exact needs. Not only this, but the showroom is laid out in a way that customers can walk through the dedicated areas for consumer electronics, and the sales team will offer expert advice and ensure they promote products that fit within the customer’s budget. One of the recent changes within the business was the introduction of a dedicated Customer Service role, which has been a “gamechanger”, it says, in its interactions with customers and, ultimately, its Trustpilot scores and reviews online and in store. This team member is the first point of contact for customer enquiries, taking details of any issues and resolving these as quickly as possible.


As the business has evolved, so too has its operations side. Its stock


control system is integrated with its website and its courier; when items become low in stock the click and collection option on the website is removed and dedicated team members for each product category will manage and monitor stock levels until more needs to be ordered. The stock system is also integrated into some of its suppliers’ systems


so colleagues can check if it is in stock with the supplier – without having to get in touch with them directly to find out. The retailer says this has greatly improved its efficiencies and now makes processes much easier


for the


team while they are managing a customer’s purchase in store.
