“After a challenging couple of years, it is fantastic for our business to be acknowledged as the Best Large Independent Consumer Electronics Retailer in the UK,” Martin Jukes, Head of Retail at Avensys, tells ERT. “This is also great recognition for


the Avensys retail team that has worked tirelessly through the whole pandemic supplying essential products to our customers.” Mr Jukes continues: “We pride


ourselves on our top three ethos pillars: to provide legendary customer service,


continually change and adapt what we provide as well as continue with existing products and brands, and lastly, embrace corporate social responsibility. “I believe this is what made us


stand out at the ERT Awards this year. It’s been a weird year and these values have been more important than ever! One of our skills is to anticipate the needs that customers do not know they have. We look at trends heading our way and take a gamble on them; some don’t work but the majority do, thank goodness!”

There is such a lot for customers to


explore, says Mr Jukes. “We are giving customers ideas on how we can develop their homes. “We also still value our AV heritage and


continue to provide a haven for true audiophiles with turntables, amps and traditional loudspeaker systems. Within this area we have Yamaha, Ruark, Bowers & Wilkins, Musical Fidelity, Linn, Pioneer and Roberts, to name just a few!” Mr Jukes adds that after a two-year


hiatus on most networking events within the industry, it was “great to be back”. “We didn’t realise how much we


missed it until we were back in the room together at the ERT Awards; swapping stories and liaising with other colleagues is so important as we work through these crazy times together!”
