ERT AWARDS 2021
Training Provider Award Winner
Miele GB 28
“The passion that we have for our brand comes across in the training we deliver”
“Training has become more important than ever,” explains Rosie Clarke, Product Training Manager at Miele GB. “During the course of the pandemic
we’ve had to be reactive to the changing needs of our partners and we’ve introduced new formats such as live online sessions and training videos
in order to support them as much as we can. The feedback has been great and I’m pleased that we were able to keep the quality high despite the obvious limitations.” Clearly, picking up the trophy for the
Training Provider Award at the ERT Awards means a lot to Ms Clarke and her team. And the adaptability and

dedication of Miele’s training has been evident over the past two years, with the online sessions just one example of providing a link to the outside world for both the company and its retail partners. As the industry has opened up
shopping habits have changed, as consumers have got so used to shopping online and now they are visiting stores for the experience, so product knowledge is more important than ever. Ms Clarke continues: “An enthusiastic and knowledgeable sales
person can make all the difference and we have worked really hard to support our partners and to offer solutions that help to support sales growth. “I actually asked people at the
Awards what makes Miele stand out and the response was that it’s because we obviously really care. I think the passion that we have for our brand and our products comes across in the training we deliver and helps to elevate it. “Retailers receive training from
multiple brands and it can be hard sometimes to stand out, but I think the sincere enthusiasm we feel helps to enthuse other people and makes us memorable.” When asked how she feels about
winning this award, Ms Clarke simply adds: “It feels amazing! “It’s been the strangest of times, and
easy to lose sight of what the industry has still been able to achieve – despite the challenges we have faced, but recognition like this is such a welcome reminder of why we do what we do! “And to be at a physical awards

event again was wonderful! The buzz in the room was obvious and it was great that the event could return to recognise those in the industry. Independent retail is such a vital part of our country’s success and the hard work that goes into each and every one of these businesses is so deserving of acknowledgement and celebration!”
