Haier has been named as the number one global major appliance brand in volume sales by Euromonitor. And this is the 13th consecutive year that Haier has topped the list. According to the data, released at the end of last
year, Haier is the number one brand of refrigeration appliances in the world in terms of volume sales ¬– and it has been for 14 consecutive years. It is also the number one brand of home laundry appliances in the world in volume sales; number one for freezers in the world; and number one for freestanding electric wine coolers and chillers in the world in volume sales – and has been for 12 consecutive years. Jim McEwan, Chief Commercial Officer of Haier
UK, commented: “This is a huge achievement. We are constantly striving to listen to consumers, changing needs and adapting to them, while researching and harnessing cutting-edge technology, to stand out in the market.” In other news, the appliance brand has launched
its first ever virtual showroom (pictured above), where visitors can discover the latest products in two distinct 3D environments in an immersive and real- time digital experience. With a simple click from their PC, smartphone, or
tablet, users will dive into a connected and tailor-made “home of the future” where videos, virtual catalogues, leaflets, and products such as refrigerators, wine cellars and washing machines are depicted with the definition of detail and texture. They will be able to visualise the appliances in different spaces. To build the architecture of the showroom, Haier
used the Neosperience Reality Plus cloud platform, which, thanks to WebGL and gITF technologies, does not require app installation. McEwan added: “This is another step for the Haier
brand towards an offer that is increasingly tailor-made, technologically advanced and characterised by a premium design. We are confident that this interactive and immersive journey will satisfy consumers’ premium expectations.”
