Q: How will you move the business forward, and what are your hopes for the future? PM: Our bread and butter will remain; people will always need a cooker and a fridge so those sales will always trundle along. The clever bit, of course, is to sell up to own brands and recommend a Retracare guarantee too. I think there is definitely growing interest in home


entertainment and security, so I am excited to see where that goes, especially on the installation side.

The response we’ve had from this is incredible! We are not seen merely as a ‘box-shifters’ but that we actually take the time and trouble to follow up. coming year but there are a lot of issues in the industry at the moment with stock availability and price rises, which can make things difficult for the independents. We bend over backwards for our customers, but some things are simply beyond our control; we just hope that things will improve in the future. I feel very lucky to be part of a buying group,


and I am delighted that Euronics has invested in a massive warehouse in the North as it demonstrates how much business is developing. The Group really understands the importance


of shopping locally. No one wants to see their town centre dying, so many wish to keep things local. People buy from people. And we create lasting relationships with our customers so they continue buying from us; why would they go elsewhere when have we looked after them so well, especially during the pandemic? Most are delighted with our service so they come back again and again.
