Record numbers at this year’s Sirius Members Trade Show

Reaching record highs in terms of attendance and business taken, Sirius Buying Group’s annual VIP Members Trade Show this year took place in September at Forest of Arden Marriot Hotel & Country Club, Warwickshire, followed by the Awards Gala Dinner on the evening of the second day. Sirius Buying Group’s AGM provided visitors the opportunity to network in a peer-to-peer environment. Members to Sirius involved in this year’s meeting were privy to the groups YTD performance, latest business strategies and Member benefi ts available to them for the coming year. It provided a great opportunity for Sirius Members to take the fl oor and express key ideas to improve demand, as well as determine how they can successfully implement growth across the board within a mutually benefi cial open-forum. The following day the 17th successive Sirius VIP Member Trade Show opened its doors and this year’s footfall exceeded all previous years, totalling over 300 visitors, made-up of leading manufacturers, distributors, retailers and installers from the kitchen,


bedroom and bathroom electrical appliance industry. This year hosted the group’s market- leading Approved Suppliers, new and existing, including: Rangemaster, CDA, RKW, GDHA, Gorenje, Hoover Candy Group, Liebherr, Samsung, Smeg, Symphony, Whirlpool, AB Distributors, Connect, D.A.D, EPE Group, Caple, Portway, and Swift. Each Approved Supplier took advantage of communicating directly to its customers, demonstrating the new opportunities available to Sirius Members via attractive display plans, promotional offers and the latest products to help drive new business to the independents.

Winners of Sirius Annual Awards & Gala Dinner 2018 announced


The Annual Awards & Gala Dinner 2018 for Sirius Buying Group, the major buying group of electrical appliance and kitchen retail solutions, took place recently to reward its community of Approved Suppliers and Members and recognise industry excellence across the electrical appliance retail sectors. The evening, on 19 September, was part of the big fi nale to its exclusive two-day Members Trade Show and it made way for a night of fun and celebration for Sirius to say thank you for the continued support and investment it receives on both a professional and personal scale.

CIH announces new associate membership


Combined Independents (Holdings) Ltd. (CIH) has introduced an


associate membership package, t o extend


the benefi ts of being part of Europe’s largest buying group to even more independent retailers of electrical appliances. Associate members can benefi t from CIH’s buying


power, have access to its fully stocked warehouses and three deliveries a week, with minimal joining fees and no upfront investment. CIH associate members will be able to retail Euronics agency products, from


all of the major brown and white goods suppliers with exclusive models from brands such as Blomberg and Dyson, which their customers are unable to purchase anywhere else on the high street or internet. The new associate membership package offers


retailers the benefi t of being part of a buying group and can act as a stepping-stone to becoming a fully- fl edged CIH member, where the electrical retailer can benefi t from national advertising and marketing support, group-based account support, online sales, as well as advice and guidance from long-standing CIH members through Euronics’ regional groups.
