The ERT mystery shopping team has been out and about in Cardiff to check up on the sales skills of electrical retailers across the Principality’s capital city.
Bose Store, St David’s Shopping Centre
THIS store is located on the upper floor of the shopping centre and is just two stores away from John Lewis. I was looking to buy a smart speaker for my office. Inside the store, Owain asked if I needed any help. I explained what I was looking to buy and he asked if I wanted to have a product that was portable or fixed. I said a fixed product would be ideal. Owain presented two products to me. The first
was the Bose SoundTouch 30, which was priced at £369. He demonstrated this speaker and said that it is both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled. Owain said
the speaker could be used to create a network with other Bose products around the house. The second product he presented was the Bose Home Speaker 500, which was priced at £399.95. Owain explained that this Alexa-enabled device is the first in a new range from Bose. He used the Alexa functionality that played content from Spotify and he drew my attention to the colour Oled screen, which displays album artwork would be ideal for what I was looking for at my office. He finished his presentations by offering me a 10 per cent discount voucher.
