Whirpool donates

As part of its National Quiet Day campaign, Whirlpool supported a local charity, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire (CPSL) Mind, by donating three 6TH SENSE Live Supreme Care washing machines (FSCR 12441) to a charity auction. The charity auction was hosted at Ely Golf Club for its members, their families and friends, and the funds raised were directly donated to CPSL Mind. CPSL Mind aims to ensure that everyone in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire who faces mental health challenges has equal access

to the support they need to recover. Its mission is to provide services that support those recovering from mental health challenges, promote positive mental health and tackle mental health-related stigma and discrimination within its communities. The Whirlpool 6TH SENSE Live Supreme Care washing machine (FSCR 12441) can be controlled via the Whirlpool 6TH SENSE Live app. The app allows users to set or change the programme settings, start or stop the appliance and check the progress of the appliance programme. Furthermore, the Whirlpool

Supreme Care 12kg washing machine benefits from a super quiet spin cycle of only 70 dB(A) and boasts the coveted Quiet Mark accreditation, which is awarded to manufacturers who incorporate ‘quiet’ into their designs. Tailang Bu, Category Marketing Manager, Laundry, Whirlpool, said: “At Whirlpool, we believe it is important to support the local community and we hope the funds raised from the donation of the Whirlpool appliances can support CPSL Mind to continue to help those in need.”

Zanussi has provided Britain’s biggest family with a new washing machine

Zanussi washing machine turns 31 in Liverpool

A man from Liverpool is celebrating owning his Zanussi washing machine for more than three decades. Frank Fairclough, 72, of Mossley Hill, Liverpool has put on 3,224 loads and washed 32,240 items of clothing, and 4,836 hours of laundry later his FL811 Washing Machine is still spinning strong. Mr Fairclough commented: “I bought

my Zanussi Washing Machine in 1987 from Comet for £180 because it was reasonably priced and looked good. It’s amazing to think how long it has lasted me. I’ve never had to get it repaired or replace any parts”

The football fan has never been let down by his Zanussi appliance and contacted the manufacturer to share the news of his aging machine.

Chris George, Head of Marketing at Zanussi, said: “To celebrate the

washing machine’s 31st birthday we have donated a brand new Zanussi ZWF01483WH Front Loader Washing Machine to Mr Fairclough’s homeless football team.”

Stuart Carrington, Liverpool Homeless Football Team Manager, added: “When we heard that Zanussi wanted to give us a washing machine, we were elated. We don’t have a dedicated laundry room at the training grounds so my wife washes all the team’s kit after every match. We hope our machine serves us as well as Mr Fairclough’s, so we can keep our players’ kits clean for decades to come!” Mr Fairclough continued: “I think it’s marvellous what Zanussi are doing for the team. My washing machine has never let me down and so I hope the team’s machine stays spinning strong for far more than 30 years.”

The Radford family – Britain’s biggest family – has just got bigger, as parents Noel and Sue Radford have just welcomed their 21st child. Born on 6 November and weighing 8lb 4oz, baby Bonnie joined the Radford’s other children; with an almost 28-year age gap from the eldest boy, the baby girl brings the overall total to 10 girls and 11 boys. With a big family to look after, it’s no surprise that the Radfords spend so much time each week on household chores. Preparing breakfast for 21 each day means mum Sue must wake up at 06.00am to have enough time to ensure all 18 kids are fed, clothed and out of the house on time. The family also do 63 loads of tumble drying a week, that’s 441 skirts, 756 t-shirts and 2,268 socks for the children alone!

Chris George, Head of Marketing at

Zanussi, said: “When we heard that Sue and Noel were having another baby, we jumped at the chance to help prepare the family for their newest arrival and ease the load of Britain’s biggest family. By providing them with brand new Zanussi appliances we hope to make life simpler and easier for them. The Radford clan will be able to spend less energy doing chores and will have more time to spend together as a family”. Noel Radford added: “We were really excited when Zanussi reached out to us. With such a big family we spend a lot of time on household chores; time that could be spent together as a family.

Balancing the all-consuming needs of a new-born with 18 other children can be quite a challenge. It’s great that now we can do just that and don’t have to waste precious family time!”
