Event preview INTEGRATED SYSTEMS EUROPE 2019

Immerse yourself in smart technology at Integrated Systems Europe 2019

O 14 a reality

pen for registration now, the 2019 edition

of Integrated Systems Europe is set to be the largest in the show’s history, with more exhibitors, more floor space, more visitors and more events than ever before. Taking place at the RAI Amsterdam on 5-8 February 2019, ISE is the must-attend event for electrical retailers keen to find out about the residential smart home installation space, or to see the latest digital signage innovations for retail. The smart home is

becoming

for most people today, with the number of connected technology

solutions and fully

integrated homes rising fast. This growth creates a lucrative market for electrical retailers, who can benefit from the opportunities that a professional installation arm can add to their business. Retailers attending ISE 2019 can immerse themselves in this market, take advantage of professional development education offered by CEDIA, one of the co- owners of the event, and see new AV products, purpose-designed for this installation sector.

ISE 2019 is expected to draw numbers in excess of 2018’s record totals of 80,000 and in response to the growing demand for exhibition space at the RAI Amsterdam, the show will feature an extended Hall 5, approximately one-third larger than previously. To help attendees to locate the

products, services and companies of greatest interest to them, there will be six Technology Zones on the show floor, including a Residential Solutions Zone, the primary area of interest for electrical retailers. This Zone will allow attendees to discover the real-world benefits of home entertainment, building automation and energy management systems in a residential environment, with unique insight into the latest home technology innovations. Key products and services across these fields provide visitors with a unique opportunity to seek out and compare the latest and greatest

products. This includes whole home audio systems, loudspeakers, TVs, projectors and projector screens, home control systems, lighting and blind control systems, and much more. On the commercial side, the Smart Building hall is dedicated to the latest building technology and control equipment. Located in Hall 9, this area of the show is ideally suited to installers looking for new integration

solutions. Presenting

Show Partner KNX will be demonstrating the ability of the open control protocol, alongside market- leading commercial manufacturers. Further to this, the show provides

a great opportunity for electrical retailers to explore new strategies and products for the physical store environment. There is a dedicated Digital

Signage & DooH section to the show (Hall 8) that presents the latest signage, display and wayfinding technology – crucial in maximising the customer journey. The show also features the Digital Signage Summit ISE, which explores the trends and latest developments in digital signage. Audio-visual technology is increasingly being used to create engaging digital experiences in-store and can

increase attention and footfall for retailers. The half-day conference takes place at the Hotel Okura on 6 February and will feature analysis, strategies and best practice. Aside from the wealth of products on display, ISE plays host to leading smart home training, education and events on a variety of topics. On 4 February, the Smart Building Conference returns to ISE, which for 2019 takes as its theme ‘Making Smart Buildings, Making Buildings Smart.’ This informative, twin track event is designed for professionals working in smart homes as well as corporate environments, exploring the latest technologies and business strategies from the world’s leading smart building experts and thought leaders. The one-day conference will show how retailers can make existing buildings smart, and how providing this service can benefit their business and customer relations.

ISE co-owners, AVIXA and CEDIA, will also be providing informative and thought-provoking education content, for members and non- members alike. AVIXA will also be hosting free 20-minute FlashTrack education

sessions on it stand,

focussing on the four distinct tracks – User Experience, AV/IT, Design, and Emerging Trends, to stimulate thinking as the industry evolves. CEDIA will present a full

programme of professional development sessions, providing the perfect opportunity for retailers to learn new skills, discover emerging technologies, and be inspired for business growth and success. The ‘New Technologies Update’ session will provide an important introduction for retailers into the sector, detailing the most prevalent residential technology trends that are happening right now, as well as their future impact.

CEDIA’s business-focussed course will also provide helpful advice for electrical retailers keen to grow their business in the professional smart home design and installation world. With a variety of content, products and education, ISE 2019 is the perfect destination for smart electrical retailers to expand their knowledge and grasp the opportunities available in the AV and smart home technology market.
