Dining
Long Summer evenings call for al fresco dining, and while many people still unpack their BBQs, the market today has a much wider range of outdoor cooking appliances… Some of the most recent launches from RKW include the Tower Kamado Ceramic Charcoal BBQ and the Stealth Pro Six Burner BBQ. The former is a versatile, modern BBQ with a grilling surface measuring at 23.5cm to cater for three to five people, while the ceramic body with powder coated steel frame offers fantastic heat retention. Users can cook a whole range of ingredients by grilling, smoking, baking and searing, with a built-in thermometer, ensuring meals are cooked at the correct temperature. There’s also an XL Kamado version which can cater for six to nine people. Meanwhile, the Tower T978526 Stealth Pro Six
Burner Gas BBQ with Side Burner has a large grilling surface to cater for 12 to 16 people, plus there’s a mains-powered rotisserie kit for cooking succulent roast chicken and an individual burner with a 35cm grill plate and pizza stone! As part of the BBQ grill there’s a built-in thermometer and a large viewing window. But, Monika Wasowska, RKW’s Product Manager for Utility & Outdoor, tells ERT that a new electric BBQ range is being launched
soon – the Tower T14054 Cerasure+ Standing Outdoor/Indoor Electric BBQ Grill… “Electric BBQs have become increasingly popular because they are convenient, easy to use and ideal for both indoor and outdoor grilling,” Ms Wasowska says. “The T14054 features a superior Tower Cerasure+ non- stick plate that is three times stronger than conventional coatings and requires little to no oil; its large surface area also lets you grill up to eight chicken breasts, as well as paninis, toasties and more for added variety.” Last year, Ninja announced a whole new suite of outdoor cooking gadgets – including its Ninja Woodfire Pro Connect XL Electric BBQ Grill & Smoker. It has seven different functions under one lid, but using the Ninja Pro Connect app, users can control and monitor their cooking from their phone. Then there’s the Artisan Oven & Air Fryer. This 4-in-1 appliance is the ultimate sidekick for all your outdoor entertainment, with Pizza, Bake, Air Fry & Prove functions, and a Pizza Peel to easily load and unload breads and pizzas from the oven.
Users can make restaurant-quality 12-inch pizzas in three minutes or less with five different
settings: Artisan, Thin Crust, New York, Pan and Custom. If you’re not cooking pizza, you can cook and warm your sides in the oven – char burgers on your grill while baking focaccia or air frying chicken wings in your oven… Hungry yet?! Also offering pizza lovers other alternatives, Statesman has its new 13-inch Electric Pizza Oven SKPO0E13B (available from Bluestem Group), which has the option to be used indoors… ideal for when it inevitably starts raining! Boasting a digital LED display and programmable timer, this appliance offers an authentic taste with modern convenience. Need to keep your cool under the pressure of entertaining? Thankfully Ninja has introduced the FrostVault – an insulated cooler with premium ice retention and fridge-temperature dry storage. Say goodbye to squashed snacks, this integrated drawer keeps your food cold, dry, and separate for easy access. With FrostVault Technology, cold air transfers into the Dry Zone drawer to keep food cool and dry at food-safe temperatures (under 4.5 degrees). The wheeled coolers come in 28, 42 or 61 litre options, while the standard cool ‘box’ with carry handle comes in 28 and 47 litre options.
