Since 2005 MGM Timber has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the James Donaldson Group, along with sister companies: Donaldson Timber Engineering Ltd, James Donaldson Timber Ltd and James Donaldson Insulation Ltd. The company now has 13 branches across Scotland, five with specialist kitchen showrooms.

ESTABLISHED IN 1850 as a timber importing business, the company originally operated as Rawle & Gammon with a site at Rolle Quay in Barnstaple. Since then it has grown considerably, moved head office premises in Barnstapple and is now one of the leading independent family-owned merchants in the South West. The company employs over 300 staff across 20 branches through Devon, Somerset and Cornwall. We have also introduced The Room Works, our flagship showroom at our Exeter branch, and welcomed TecBuild to our portfolio, alongside RTD.
