Bradfords Building Supplies HAVING BEEN ESTABLISHED in


1770, Bradfords is celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2020. CEO David Young says: “Bradfords has stood the test of time. We are a great British business success story. “The anniversary is a time for celebration and reflection. So we have questioned our customers, suppliers and team (past and present) to consider why the business has endured. The feedback has unanimously focused on the grassroots customer service that we provide for the local communities in which we operate.” The company now has 46 builders merchant businesses, 23 YPS plumbing branches, 23 tool hire branches and nine kitchen and bathroom showrooms. In August 2018, it bought Archmartin Ltd, which trades as Solo Building Supplies. In March 2019, Bradfords

Cousins, Henry Boys Boden and Frank Albert Boys officially founded the company in 1895.
