Apollo Housewares wins Best Display Stand
O
n March 7, Apollo Housewares won Best Display Stand at Home Hardware’s Spring Trade Show at
Westpoint Arena, Exeter. The supplier won a cash prize of £100,
a certificate and a glass trophy. RKW received the runners up prize of £50. Nick Pedlar, Home Hardware
director and presenter of the award, said: “Apollo worked incredibly hard on the presentation of their stand. It was extremely eye catching, featured interesting products and the stand was well-lit. Products were merchandised to
a high standard.” There were 142 exhibitor stands at the show and the award was judged by an independent panel. A successful draw was also held at the show and raised £400 to be split between The Rainy Day Trust and Cancer Research UK.
New date for Exclusively’s Jeremy Pang webinar

ith the Exclusively Show adding another new feature to its popular format in the form of a mini production
studio for exhibitors, courtesy of Wok chef, Jeremy Pang and his video production agency, Curious Crab, there is a new date for exhibitors to note in order to ensure they maximise the benefit. Jeremy is inviting exhibitors to bring along a
‘star product’ and put together a ten to fifteen second video featuring its top three unique selling points. To get the most out of the experience, Jeremy is presenting a BHETA webinar for Exclusively exhibitors at 2pm on April 24.
Curious Crab focusses on combining product animation with lifestyle film to engage the modern-day audience who increasingly consume video content through social media and online. It has a real affinity for food-related products. Chair of Exclusively, Will Jones, said: “This should be both fun and extremely valuable for Exclusively exhibitors. Jeremy and his company have a great reputation; and his service, which he is offering companies at a fraction of the normal rate for the duration of the show is a real opportunity which I urge companies and brands to explore.”
John Lewis appoints first chief executive
J
ohn Lewis Partnership has appointed Nish Kankiwala as its first chief executive. Kankiwala will step into
the newly created role on 27 March to support chairwoman Dame Sharon White with the day-to-day running of the group. Kankiwala has been a non-executive
director of the Partnership since 2021 and will remain a member of the board in his new role.
Dame Sharon White said: “I’m delighted that Nish is to be chief executive. Since joining the board in 2021, Nish has developed a deep understanding and appreciation of the Partnership model and has provided counsel on our transformation. “He will be able to supercharge this in his new role while protecting the Partnership’s
ethos. Nish and I will work closely to ensure the Partnership thrives for another century.
“The new structure allows me to focus on the preservation of the Partnership model and our distinctive character, on the strategy for the Partnership and our big commercial choices. Nish Kankiwala added: “It’s a great privilege to be appointed as chief executive following two rewarding years on the Partnership’s Board as a non-executive director.
“I am looking forward to playing an
even fuller part in the transformation of the Partnership, to be a modern business loved by customers and treasured by our partners.”
