INDX HOMEWARES
which will launch for retail during AW23. The Instagram influencers and styling duo, who specialise in the detox, organisation and re-styling of the home and wardrobe, made an appearance on the Turner Bianca stand. Delegates of the show had access to an exclusive viewing of the new Turner Bianca collaboration which was available for pre-order at the show, as well as chance to get their hands on a signed copy of the Style Sisters’ book. The sisters have over 15 years’ experience in the fashion and interior industry and embarked upon their unique service organising homes and de-cluttering wardrobes and bedrooms just four years ago. Since then, the pair’s Instagram page has grown to over 270,000 followers following regular appearances on ITV’s This Morning and revamping the residences of celebrities such as Bridgerton’s Luke Newton as well as Jamie & Jools Oliver. The Style Sisters said: “Attending INDX was a fantastic experience,
we were able to meet and talk with so many passionate independent retailers across a number of industries. The show’s personal feel made it the perfect place to launch our new brand with Turner Bianca and the reception we received was really positive!” The exhibition also welcomed master potter, ceramicist and designer,
Keith Brymer Jones. Across both days of the exhibition, on the Forma House stand, visitors were able to see him live in action as he took to his pottery wheel. Jones, who is currently appearing as a judge on The Great Pottery Throw Down, showcased his award-winning Word range designed for MAKE International. Each range includes a selection of mugs and other accessories created on his potter’s wheel at his studio in Whitstable, Kent. Entering a new year, INDX Homewares enacted a number of
operational changes, with the addition of a dedicated pets category being among the biggest developments. Housed in an appointed room, the section was debuted in response to growing market demand as, post-pandemic, the share of households owning a pet has increased from 40% to 62%. The new pets exhibition featured a landscape of pet- related goods from toys to grooming, including leading brands such as Scruffs, Denzels and Long Paws. A daily ‘Dog Walk’ took place to
showcase products, with goodie bags for participants and ‘Pose with the Pooch’ photo opportunities. Lauren Bentley, sales manager at Long Paws said: “We had a brilliant time at INDX Homewares. Usually, we only exhibit at dedicated Pets-ware shows, so joining a show with so many industries involved provided a great avenue for meeting new customers. A lot of retailers were interested in our brand, and we’ve had many enquiries already.” The next INDX Homewares show is due to return to Cranmore Park on September 12-13 2023. Registration for the next show will be opening soon. Rachel Breen, head of homewares division, said “A lot of hard work and preparation has gone into making our 2023 shows the best they have ever been as we celebrate our tenth birthday later this year. INDX Shows are known for being welcoming, intimate and friendly, as well as the place where independents can get an edge on the big high-street stores.”
