CLEAR THE WAY FOR THE SMART FACTORY WITH KUKA IIQOT

W

hat condition is your robot in? How efficiently is it working? And what about the entire robot fleet at your company? KUKA iiQoT has an eye on all the condition data: from hardware to software and on to the controller. The central platform leverages the advantages of the Industrial Internet of Things and bundles the data of a complete robot fleet transparently and clearly in one dashboard. You can gain access from anywhere around the clock. The most important functions include systems management, preventive maintenance, fault detection as well as warning messages. Instead of simply visualising raw data, KUKA iiQoT delivers supplementary orientation parameters, enabling messages to be easily interpreted and faults efficiently rectified. The IIoT-platform, implemented by KUKA subsidiary Device Insights, is suitable for small and large fleets – and clears the way for the Smart Factory.

HELPING WATER COMPANIES PREVENT POLLUTION CAUSED BY WASTEWATER SPILLS

AWARD-WINNING ART SEWER WASTEWATER LEVEL MONITORING SOLUTION G

IT2800 GRAPHICAL SOURCE MEASURE UNIT

I

TECH Electronic’s IT2800 Series are compact and cost-effective bench-top Source Measure Units (SMUs) with the capability to source and measure both voltage and current. The IT2800 Series combine the capabilities of a voltage source, a current source, a voltage meter, a current meter and an ohmmeter (along with the capability to switch easily between these various functions). This ensures the independent measurement of IV characteristic in 4-quadrant. With a current range of 10fA to 10A and a voltage range of100nV to 1000V, the IT2800 series SMU has capabilities that allow it to perform more than just simple DC and pulsed measurements to prevent errors in measurement results due to the device’s own heating. Excellent Front Panel GUI with 5 inch touch display supports various view modes, to help engineers significantly improve the efficiency of testing. The IT2800 Series is suitable for a variety of test applications: discrete semiconductor devices, passive devices, transient suppression devices, laser diodes, TVS, varistors, etc.

lobally, wastewater spills contribute significantly to contaminating freshwater and marine ecosystems. In part due to spills, these waters can pose serious risk to human health and ecosystems.

Water utilities are facing pressure to serve growing populations, meet increasing industrial demand, and build and manage resilient systems. As part of a critical global response to climate change, utilities are committing to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.

Global wastewater management specialist Metasphere is committed to helping utilities improve their performance and meet these targets. Many of the world’s leading utilities already use Metasphere’s award-winning ART Sewer technology to gain valuable insights about their wastewater systems. ART Sewer allows utilities to make informed decisions to control and reduce spillages and unplanned escapes, protect water quality and ecosystems, reduce emissions, and increase operational efficiencies.

Tim O’Brien, CEO of Metasphere commented: ‘’ART Sewer realises a new proactive approach to monitoring wastewater levels in a network. Predicting and detecting blockages means spills are prevented altogether. We are incredibly proud to help create a cleaner, greener world for everyone’’.
