ummer is here and The BFA has hit the ground running. From global celebrations to wellness walks, hundreds of people across franchising have taken part in our most impactful campaigns yet. Events


promoting franchising over social media channels, mobiles and laptops across the world, celebrated an industry that, according to the last National Franchise Survey, brought to you by the BFA and NIC Local, contributes £19.1billion to the UK economy and has a less than 1% commercial failure rate. A lot to be proud of and to share.


World Franchise Day – small businesses making a big difference When people think about franchising, often it’s big, household names that come to mind. But on World Franchise Day, we drew attention to the independent franchisees behind those logos, the ones sponsoring school raffl es, local football teams and community events. They may wear a national brand, but their impact is proudly local; national brands with local footprints.


National Franchise Week – industry wellbeing Looking after the hearts, minds and health of everyone working in the UK franchise industry – whether franchisors, franchisees, suppliers or service providers – through a full week of activities both online and to take time to MOVE, LEARN, CONNECT, BE PRESENT and GIVE.

• MOVE Sponsored by My Fit Pod, franchises across the country got out of the offi ce and stretched their legs, including a team of 14 from The BFA who walked 10 miles on one of the hottest days of the year.


• LEARN A full agenda of online masterclasses covering everything from confi dence to culture and breathwork to business branding, bringing together an incredible mix of sessions to help the franchise community invest in their own wellbeing.


• CONNECT On ‘CONNECT’ day, 150 women gathered at West Midlands Safari Park for EWIB (Empowering Women in Business, sponsored by HSBC UK, Morton Michel and Platinum Wave Franchising) where lifelong connections were made and revisited while also
