ailing from Solihull, Tom feels passionate about the Midlands culture and, via FASTSIGNS franchise offering, knew that through signage and visual communications, he could play a
significant part in the aesthetics of the UK’s second city. Tom comments, “In just under three years, we’ve worked on some vibrant projects that I feel add to the authenticity of the city centre. This is the reason I’m so enthusiastic about this industry!” A born entrepreneur, from as early as 14, Tom was
carving his path with ventures ranging from event management to launching a thriving landscaping business by 17. Still only in his mid-twenties, Tom brings fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the business. This forward-thinking approach attracted him to the signage industry, where he saw a chance to blend his creative skills with a tangible impact on businesses and consumers. Since launching his centre, Tom has been on a learning curve, getting up to speed with his new business, team, customer base and the products and services available, but, as he confirms: “The franchise model at FASTSIGNS has been instrumental in achieving our early objectives. It’s provided a robust support system

that has allowed me to get to grips with my role.” In his third year of trading, Tom’s sights are set on growth. And alongside his dedicated business consultant, he is focusing on the details like expanding the portfolio of industries the centre works with and driving metrics like increasing his average order value. “Understanding these operational details has allowed me to build a sustainable plan. Now that I have the infrastructure in place to support me, I’m actively pursuing opportunities like networking both in person and online, developing the digital footprint of the centre and utilising the capabilities of our POS system.” The nature of the FASTSIGNS B2B franchise
opportunity also allows Tom to reach ambitions in his personal life. Never one to rest, Tom – who is a parent to twins – is taking on a house renovation, as well a commitment to fitness goals enabling him to enter half marathons at the drop of a hat! His energy not only promotes his personal and family's wellbeing, but also contributes to his focus and determination for the future of his business – which surely looks set for yet further success.
