ActionCOACH T

om Allchurch grew his coal mining company to a staggering £80m turnover. However, despite these incredible accomplishments, Tom found business

coaching was his true calling. In October 2020, Tom decided to join ActionCOACH to unlock his full coaching potential. Since launching his franchise, Tom has been on a thrilling journey, stoking the flame of business growth throughout his ActionCOACH Stroud territory. “Despite my vast career experience, I knew I had gaps to fill if

I was going to be the best possible version of a business coach. This may come as a surprise to you, but in the coal industry, we didn’t do a lot of social media marketing for instance!”

Extracting the value “The 10 days of training on offer impressed me massively, as I knew I could take real value from time spent with expert coaches. By looking at the ActionCOACH franchise partner support structure, I realised the areas I needed help in would be covered and my strengths would be amplified. “ActionCOACH University was such a thought-provoking

experience – I believed I already knew a lot about business, but the initial training highlighted how much I had to learn. I realised how powerful the ActionCOACH mindset and 14 points of culture were to me as a franchise partner. The training unlocked motivation in me, essentially giving me the tools to boost my existing knowledge. “I also really enjoyed training with other franchise partners.

It meant there was a sense of family and community throughout, making the whole experience far more collaborative and enjoyable.”

Prospecting for a great future “Since I launched in October 2020, I have secured 20 clients - 11 one-to-one and 9 group coaching clients. I feel completely in my element working with my local business community to help companies thrive. Helping to change people’s lives by offering them insight into how to develop their businesses is exactly what I envisioned when joining ActionCOACH.” Now Tom wants to reach even more businesses in the local

area but also plans to spend more time with his family. “I have every intention of building my firm to the stage where it can run without me if I choose to take time away with my family. My team supports me with business growth and administrative duties, which is laying the groundwork for this expansion. I’ve seen the many success stories in the network and, I know with ActionCOACH, I’m on the path to achieving the same results.”

Tom’s advice for someone considering ActionCOACH “I would say do it fully and wholeheartedly. The rewards are enormous, both personally and financially. Whatever your level of experience, I believe if you possess a growth mindset, you can achieve great things in the ActionCOACH network by mining the incredible levels of support on offer.”
