Auntie Anne’s is the world’s-largest soft pretzel
franchise with over 2,000 stores in more than 30 countries. The brand specialises in soft, handcrafted pretzels in a wide assortment of flavours including the most popular – cinnamon! Over the years they have evolved their product range in order to tailor to customer requests and create products suitable for various day parts. All baked items are made from the original pretzel dough and now include pretzel nugget bites, pretzel hot dogs and pretzel pizzas! Auntie Anne’s unique selling point is that every
pretzel is made from scratch on site, right in front of the customers. The staff prepare the dough on site, let it prove and it’s then handcrafted into the variety of products. Once freshly baked, each item is sold within 30 minutes of leaving the oven to guarantee the freshest product possible for the customers. Baking happens continually throughout the day to maintain the product range. Being an Auntie Anne’s franchisee involves
managing your team of employees, managing the operations of the business, driving sales and motivating your team. Whilst your store will be in a high footfall location, every franchisee must put the effort in to ensuring they are driving customers to the store and converting as many passers-by as possible into customers. As part of the initial franchisee fee, the head
office will project manage the entire process of opening a new store. They will work with the franchisee and the property agents to find the perfect location, this might be a kiosk in a shopping centre, a busy city-centre shop unit or even one of the new format converted shipping container-style units. Once the location is found they will get the store designed and have this approved by the various parties. They will help you with raising any extra funding by either going directly to a bank or through a franchise finance specialist broker. They will work with the landlord to agree the elements of the deal and work with the shopfitters on the actual build. You will also be trained during the process, the training consists of two weeks at head office in Buckinghamshire in the purpose-built training kitchen. Finally, Auntie Anne’s will help you recruit your first team of employees and work with you to plan the grand opening of the store.

All stores can operate as takeaway only
and are Covid secure. Your store will also be signed up to the delivery platforms in order to take advantage of the extra revenue this brings.
