FRANCHISEFOCUS INVESTMENT: FROM £6 9,000 Passion for business

Managing director Julie Wagstaff reflects on the year ActionCOACH helped business owners thrive and reveals what’s in store for the network in 2021

“A

fter 2020 brought a surge of economic turmoil and business uncertainty, ActionCOACH responded with strength and energy,

recording some impressive milestones.

Getting together At the beginning of this year, we held our first-ever virtual UK conference, determined to not let the distance stop us from coming together – it’s what we do best. The conference revealed that almost a third – 29 to be exact – of the world’s top 100 Action Coaches are operating on home soil. Given that ActionCOACH started in Australasia, eight years before its launch in the UK, and is active in 80 countries, these rankings are a huge testament to our passion for supporting business owners.

"This year is on course to be even more prosperous than the last for anyone who partners with ActionCOACH"

Best job in the world The conference recognised the incredible results of ActionCOACH clients. Business coaches have made incredible gains in the toughest of years. For example, 19 of the 20 business owners mentored by Simon Ellson, the franchise partner for ActionCOACH West Hertfordshire, achieved growth. One of these clients, Rohan Agarwel, increased his revenue by 500 per cent and his profits by 300 per cent last year, earning Simon the award for Best Client Results in the Central Midlands. Simon proudly declared: “I’ve got the best job in the world!” Kevin Riley, our Warwick franchise partner

who was crowned HSBC Community Hero at the British Franchise Association awards, was hailed

as Growth Coach of the Year. For the overwhelming amount of support he’s offered his local community, gifting coaching sessions to over 750 businesses, Kevin’s franchise saw an impressive increase in revenue of 263 per cent. Kevin also achieved ‘Emerald’ status, after consistently banking over £45,000 a month of client income. Jon Asquith only started ActionCOACH Sheffield in mid-January 2020 and was awarded New Franchise Partner of the Year after achieving over £300,000 of client income.

Building a brighter future As franchise partners provide support at the heart of their communities, we continue to share the best learning opportunities with our coaches, their teams and clients. With our upcoming annual event BizX, we offer coaches and their clients the chance to learn, build and develop for a brighter future. The virtual two-day event will feature a host of world- class guest speakers, including sales guru Jeffrey Gitomer, best-selling author Seth Godin and world- renowned business coach – and ActionCOACH founder – Brad Sugars. Hosted by none other than TV's Stephen Mulhern, it promises to be our most exciting and engaging BizX event yet. ActionCOACH UK celebrates its 20th anniversary

this year, whilst also launching a £1million 10-episode television series following the lives of ActionCOACH clients. It’s safe to say that this year is on course to be even more prosperous than the last for anyone who partners with ActionCOACH.”
