An upbeat projection for franchising's future Factor in the £15billion lending fund put forward by HSBC, with a record £500million ring-fenced specifically for franchise businesses, and the way is paved for businesses to begin to flourish again, into the second half of 2021. HSBC state that “Almost three quarters (71 per cent) of UK businesses expect to have returned to pre-pandemic levels of profitability


by the end of 2022 and a fifth by the end of this year and nearly half of British companies (49 per cent) are projecting sales growth.” With many businesses looking at expansion,


franchising is perfectly positioned to support that, and we are quietly optimistic for a significant upsurge in the sector as we move through the course of this year. 
