At the end of the launch process you will have a working and profitable daily coffee round and a personalised business development plan that lays out the steps for you to take to continue to grow and develop your mobile coffee business.
What ongoing support do you provide to your franchise network? After your franchise launch we will carry out regular scheduled reviews with you to make sure you are getting the best from your new business. By analysing the data from our touchscreen electronic point-of-sale software, in conjunction with your online daily coffee route map, we are able to identify areas of your business in which you can make positive changes and improvements. We can then advise you on the best ways to implement these changes by strategically setting goals and targets. Your FDM will of course be never more than a phone call or email away and they are on hand seven days a week to answer your questions and provide support, help and guidance.
As part of the franchise network you will benefit from the experience and knowledge of our existing franchise partners who are always willing to share ideas to help your business grow via the interactive franchise partner discussion forum.
As a ‘low-cost’ operation, how much does one need in terms of investment? The franchise package is £19,950 plus vat and includes the full training and launch programme, as well as over £5,000 of initial stock and equipment. You will also require the Mercedes Vito coffee van (converted by us), which is paid off over the initial franchise term so that you own it outright after five years. You can be on the road and running your mobile café business, however, from as little as £8,000. This is the minimum initial investment level you need to contribute and includes the deposit on your Mercedes coffee van. If you have more capital to invest, this will of course reduce your monthly finance payments over the initial franchise term – we will go into the financial forecasts in detail with you if you are able to attend one of our Discovery Days or if you book a one-to-one Discovery Meeting. We have built strong relationships with a number of finance companies who are familiar with our franchise system and are extremely keen to help new franchise partners fund their Really Awesome Coffee businesses (subject to the usual checks), which they see as a safe investment.
Should I therefore expect modest returns for a low investment? You will instantly profit from our brand awareness and intellectual property and be confident that your business has the best possible chance of success and one that you can eventually sell or pass on to your children. Our ongoing management services fees are refreshingly low at a fixed cost of just £69 per week – typically covered by the first few coffee sales of the day. As a network partner you will benefit
from huge franchisee discounts on our exceptional #1 brand coffee and because of Really Awesome Coffee’s buying power you will enjoy reduced prices from our suppliers on consumable items and with
our unique coffee van you should save over £2,500 per year in fuel. All these factors added together lead to annual profits that can be thousands of pounds higher than with other mobile coffee networks. In addition, we have made the day-to-day operation of your business as simple and straightforward as possible – we are aware that your time is better spent serving your customers. Ordering supplies could not be easier through head office by email or phone and deliveries are almost always next day! All this added together typically sees net annual profits of between £30,000 and £50,000 for a single owner-operator mobile café (depending on the individual franchise partner’s personal goals and objectives). It is possible to earn more than this, or less if you would like to operate the business on a more part-time basis. One of the great strengths with this business model is its flexibility and our ability to work with our franchisees to build a business that suits them as opposed to simply forcing people to squeeze their lifestyles into a rigid business structure.
