DESPUÉS DE UNA DÉCADA, LARRY HEARD Y ROBERT OWENS GANAN BATALLA LEGAL CONTRA TRAX RECORDS.
De acuerdo con un reporte del periódico The Guardian, es- tas dos leyendas de la música house han ganado la batalla legal interpuesta contra Trax Records. En 2020, los america- nos presentaron un caso que infringía los derechos de autor, declarando que la dupla nunca recibió ninguna regalía por los tracks lanzados en Trax Records, y que fueron explotados y obligados a ceder los derechos de su música cuando eran más jóvenes. Larry Heard (A.K.A. Mr. Fingers) y Robert Owens buscaban como compensación por los daños ocasionados un millón de dólares. Por otra parte, el abogado de los músi- cos ha confirmado que las partes han llegado a acuerdos amigables y han resuelto sus diferencias, después de que Trax no pudo presentar una prueba sólida sobre la propiedad de derechos. Vale la pena mencionar que tanto Larry Heard como Robert Owens no han recibido ninguna indemnización debido a que el fundador original del Trax, Larry Sherman falleció y los propietarios actuales no pueden pagar la can- tidad solicitada.
AFTER A DECADE, LARRY HEARD AND ROBERT OWENS WIN LEGAL BATTLE AGAINST TRAX RECORDS.
According to a report in The Guardian, these two-house mu- sic legends have won their legal battle case against Trax Records. In 2020, the American artists filed a copyright in- fringement suit against Trax. The suit had stated that the duo was never paid royalties for the tracks released on Trax Records and that they were exploited and coerced into sign- ing away rights to their music when they were young. Larry Heard (AKA Mr. Fingers) and Robert Owens sought a mini- mum total of $1 million in damages from the label. The lawyer of the musicians has confirmed that “the parties amicably resolved their differences after Trax could not provide any proof of copyright ownership. It is worth mentioning that Larry Heard and Robert Owens have not been awarded any damages because Trax Founder Larry Sherman has died, and the current owners of the label cannot afford to pay the amount requested.

Igualmente, habrá fiestas en la playa al atardecer, ofreciendo un nuevo es- cenario para festivales en el pueblo local de Tamarindo.
