Hace unas semanas se encontraron de forma casual Luk Follin de Mixmag Caribbean, Mickey Destro y Chez Tropics en El Atelier Bar & Cocina. Mientras ordenaron sus tragos, la conversación inmediatamente tomó rumbo, su nuevo lanzamiento, una colaboración con una de las artistas del momento en la escena musical dominicana, La Marimba.
Mickey Destro y Chez Tropics continúan creando cosas in- teresantes, publicaron el 25 de julio, su colaboración, un re- mix del tema “Encamíname” de la artista alternativa La Ma- rimba. Este nuevo trabajo seguirá a su anterior lanzamiento “Never Go”, el cual fue muy aceptado por sus seguidores, quienes siguen creciendo, pues se han convertido en una de las principales figuras de la música electrónica del país.
Los remixes se les dan bastante bien, ya lo habían hecho con “No de letón Pé” y “No Le De Tó” de Nikola, con el cual ganaron el premio al mejor remix en la pasada edición de los Premios Indie dominicano. En esta nueva colaboración Mickey y Chez logran un balance perfecto adaptando un tema alternativo a su estilo.
La Marimba por su parte pasa por un buen momento. Tras haber sido telonera de los británicos Coldplay. Publicó este año un muy buen logrado video musical de su sen- cillo “Suéltame”, y el sencillo “Chivirikxs”. Con esta nueva colaboración y coqueteo con la música electrónica, podrá ampliar más su grupo de seguidores.
En el caso de Mickey Destro y Chez Tropics no paran de trabajar, luego de haber realizado un setlist con un impac- tante trabajo visual que lleva por nombre MONTECRISTI, el cual ha sido editado como disco, preparandose para una nueva experiencia con la que seguirán marcando un antes y un después dentro de la música electrónica dominicana, pero este proyecto será anunciado más adelante. En la ac- tualidad, todo el enfoque está puesto en su colaboración con La Marimba que va con el sello de calidad de siempre y con la que invitaran a bailar a los fans.
Desde el 25 de Julio, está disponible en todas las platafor- mas en dos versiones.

Chez Tropics met by chance at El Atelier Bar & Cuisine a few weeks ago. As they ordered their cocktails, the con- versation immediately turned to their new release, a col- laboration with one of the hottest artists on the Dominican music scene, La Marimba.
Mickey Destro and Chez Tropics continue to create excit- ing things. Recently, they published their collaboration on July 25th, a remix of the song "Encamíname" by alternative artist La Marimba. This new work will follow the previous re- lease, "Never Go," which was widely accepted by their fol- lowers, who continue growing as they have become promi- nent electronic music figures in the country.
The boys are pretty good at remixing. They had already done it with "No de letón Pé" and "No Le De Tó" by Nikola, with which they won the award for best remix at the last edition of the Dominican Indie Awards.
Mickey and Chez achieve a perfect balance in this new col- laboration by adapting an alternative theme to their style. La Marimba, for her part, is having a great time. This year after opening for the British Coldplay, she published a very successful music video for the single "Suéltame" and the single "Chivirikxs." With this new collaboration and flirtation with electronic music, they can expand their group of fol- lowers.
In the case of Mickey Destro and Chez Tropics, they never stop working after making a setlist with an impressive visu- al work called "MONTECRISTI" which has been released as an album. They prepare for a new experience where they will continue to mark a before and after within Dominican elec- tronic music; however, the project will be announced later.
Currently, the main focus is on the collaboration with La Marimba, which has the usual stamp of quality and with which all listeners will be invited to dance.
