Una colaboración entre dos talentos que en un inicio se fueron abriendo paso en la Isla Blanca, Jamie Jones y Dar- ius Syrossian nos entregan en EP ‘We Bring It’ en el sel- lo Hot Creations. Esta no es la primera vez en que este dúo ha coproducido, previamente tuvieron lanzamientos como ‘Rushing’ y ‘Eyes of The Night’ explayando su enfo- que dinámico. Su último release rebosa melodías brillantes impulsadas por la energía del club. ‘We Bring It’ desplie- ga inflados bombos, y una muestra de vocales rápidas que serpentea entre sus contundentes líneas del bajo. Un toque de percusión tribal rebota por toda la pista per- mitiéndonos ver el ambiente baleárico que celebran Jones y Syrossian. ‘On The Best Thing’ hay una punzante línea de sintetizador que rompe en un ondeante paisaje sonoro, en donde predomina una línea del bajo que da una sensación rave-ready que chispea en el trayecto de la pista.

A collaboration between two talents who initially broke through on the White Isle several years ago, Jamie Jones and Darius Syrossian deliver the We Bring It EP on Jones’ seminal label Hot Creations. It’s not the first time the duo has co-produced together, with previous releases like ‘Rushing’ and ‘Eyes Of The Night’ displaying their dynamic approach. Their latest release brims with bright melodies and club-driven energy. The title tune unfurls with chunky kickdrums and a chopped-up, speedy vocal sample that winds between a thwacking bassline. A touch of tribal per- cussion bounces throughout the track, reflecting the Bale- aric vibe for which Jones and Syrossian are celebrated. On The Best Thing, a stabby synthline breaks up a wavey and tripped-out soundscape. A vast bassline dominates, with a rave-ready feel that shimmers throughout the track.

El dúo electrónico de Giolì & Assia han presentado su terc- er y altamente anticipado álbum de estudio, ‘Fire, Hell and Holy Water’. Electronic crossover production duo Giolì and Assia have released their third and highly anticipated studio album, ‘Fire, Hell and Holy Water’. This magic work is the band’s biggest body of work to date, a 16-track labour of love. Named after a well-known local Sicilian saying, the record documents their turbulent and intense highs and lows as a couple, and the health problems and untimely losses of relatives during the pandemic. Referencing a plethora of major sonic influences, the pair cite London Grammar, Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Labyrinth’s Euphoria score, U2 and Ludovico Einaudi as just a few of the many formative inspirations on their landmark album.
