El sonido sorprendentemente sincero pero pegadizo de esta grandiosa productora y DJ nacida en Ginebra la ha situado en los escenarios y fiestas más imponen- tes del mundo como lo han sido Katerblau, Watergate, fabric, Marvelous Island, Extrema Outdoor, Fusion Fes- tival, Tomorrowland, The Monastery Festival, Stihia Fes- tival y Sisyphos por menciona algunos. Esa colorida energía que Deer Jade emana en los escenarios la ha ayudado a cimentar un camino que va viento en popa y a establecer una residencia dominical en la fiesta Sto- rytellers y Woomoon en Cova Santa en Ibiza, además de fortalecer su relación de confianza con Grupo Pa- cha. Es por ello por lo que damos la bienvenida a Deer Jade como la protagonista de nuestra portada. En este número Jade muestra su lado más vulnerable mientras nos va hablando de conexión musical y amor por el pla- neta.


Cabe destacar que, además de ser una de las mujeres más admirables dentro de la industria de la música dance Deer Jade pronto se embarcará en su primer tour por Sudamérica junto al trío danés de WhoMadeWho.


Esta joven productora y DJ no solamente es un alma libre que disfruta envolverse en sonidos místicos y melódicos que hechizan al espectador, también es una entusiasta practicante de la meditación, y del yoga kun- dalini. “Desde que comencé a participar en retiros espir- ituales cada mañana dedico al menos veinte minutos de mi tiempo a la meditación, con ello mi día cambia y fluye, la vida se va haciendo más bella”. Para ella, tanto la música como la espiritualidad son conectores cósmi- cos que permiten a los seres humanos explorar dimen- siones inesperadas.


Su ecléctica educación musical se dio a muy tempra- na edad, siendo sus padres grandes coleccionistas de música, estos le inculcaron a la pequeña Jade la apre- ciación de la buena música y fomentar la curiosidad por descubrir un universo de sonidos y géneros musicales, y que a través de tracks y míticos álbumes, ella pudiera conectar con ella misma, por eso creemos que ese gran aprendizaje la ha guiado por el sendero correcto hasta convertirse en la súper productora y DJ que es en la actualidad. Su padre tenía una masiva biblioteca musi- cal en casa en donde podrían encontrarse álbumes de legendarias bandas y cantantes. Le preguntamos que álbumes o canciones le dejaron una gran impresión en su infancia a lo que nos contestó “Diría Manu Chao, pero también están Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Bob Marley, to- dos estos cantantes y bandas old school”, los cuales en palabras de la artista no puede dejar de escuchar, para ella es una música que tiene magia.


Sin embargo, su preparación musical no culminó ahí, ella en sus deseos de seguir aprendiendo tomó diver- sas clases de música. En Tulum aprendió a jugar con los sonidos del ukulele, y tuvo un training en música donde profundizó con panderos, y diversos tipos de tambo- res e incluso arpa. “Aprendí el lenguaje de la música que puede ser interpretado con otros instrumentos, fue her- moso, igualmente toco el piano; en París y Berlín aprendí muchas otras cosas, siempre es increíble aprender, eso es algo infinito”, señala.


Su estilo y sonido característico es una vertiente psi- codélica cargada de estructuras y formas groovy, funky y melódicas las cuales nos permiten viajar con ella ha- cia los recónditos lugares que ha visitado en sus giras de la mano de la familia The Gardens of Babylon, y en individual. Con su música nos da una idea de su ver- dadera esencia la cual está destinada a abrir nuevos portales con sonidos místicos llenos de encanto y con- sciencia que invitan a los fans a cuestionarse sobre el propósito de la vida y a crear un vínculo con ella.

The surprisingly sincere but catchy sound of this in- credible Geneva-born producer and DJ has placed her on the most impressive stages and parties in the world, such as Katerblau, Watergate, fabric, Marvelous Island, Extrema Outdoor, Fusion Festival, Tomorrowland, The Monastery Festival, Stihia Festival and Sisyphos, to name a few. The bright and colorful energy that Deer Jade exudes on stage has helped build her way up to success and establish a Sunday residency at the Sto- rytellers and Woomoon party at Cova Santa in Ibiza, as well as strengthen her relationship with Pacha Group. That is why we welcome Deer Jade as the protagonist of our cover. In this issue Jade shows her most vulnera- ble side as she talks about her connection to the music and love for the planet.


It should be noted that, as well as being one of the most admirable women in the dance music industry, Deer Jade will soon embark on her first tour through South America with the Danish trio WhoMadeWho.


This young producer and DJ is not only a free spirit who enjoys wrapping herself in mystical and melodic sounds that cast a spell on the listener, she is also a meditation and kundalini yoga enthusiast. “Since I began to partic- ipate in spiritual retreats, every morning I dedicate at least twenty minutes of my time to meditation, with it my day changes and it flows, life becomes more beauti- ful”. For her, both music and spirituality are cosmic con- nectors that allow human beings to explore unexpected dimensions.


Her eclectic music education occurred at a very young age, her parents were great music collectors and they instilled in little Jade the appreciation for good music and fostered curiosity to discover a universe of sounds and musical genres. Through the tracks and mythical al- bums she could connect with herself, that's why we be- lieve that this wonderful learning has guided her along the right path to become the incredible producer and DJ that she is today. Her father had a huge music library at home where one could find the albums by legendary bands and singers. We asked her what albums or songs left a great impression on her during her childhood, to which she replied, "I would say Manu Chao, but there are also Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Bob Marley, all these old school singers and bands", which, in the words of the artist, she cannot stop listening to, for her it is music that has magic.


However, her musical preparation did not end there, she, in her desire to continue learning, took a variety of mu- sic classes. In Tulum she learned how to play with the sounds of the ukulele and had a music training where she deepened her knowledge with tambourines, various types of drums and even harp. “I learned the language of music that can be interpreted with other instruments, it was beautiful, I also play the piano; in Paris and Ber- lin I learned many other things, it is always incredible to learn, it is something infinite”, the DJ points out.


Her characteristic style and sound are a psychedelic slope full of groovy, funky and melodic structures and forms which allow us to travel with her to the remote places she has visited on her tours with The Gardens of Babylon family, as well as individually. With her music she gives us an idea of her true essence which is des- tined to open new portals with mystical sounds full of charm and consciousness that invite fans to question the purpose of life and to create a bond with her.


In a very short time, Jade's persistence was rewarded, or as she likes to say, she felt blessed the moment the gates of 'The Gardens of Babylon' opened to welcome her under their wings.
