Influenciados por conceptos culturales como el linaje, el animismo y la mitología, así como le lenguaje del techno político, el punk, el burbujeo y el IDM, Linh Luu y Marvin Lalihatu constantemente interpretan sus visiones en producciones sensoriales y en sus actos en vivo de alto oc- tanaje. En su nuevo álbum MERDEKA, los artistas exploran y abrazan con orgullo su linaje cultural, su dolor y compleji- dad. MERDEKA simboliza la liberación de Animistic Beliefs, la cual se viene en términos de cambio y liberarse de las ex- pectativas externas. El álbum reflexiona sobre sus memo- rias de infancia que confrontan los traumas generacionales que se derivaron del post colonialismo, y que reconectan a Linh y Marvin con su descendencia vietnamita, China, neer- landés-moluca junto a sus culturas formativas. El álbum incorpora escalas indonesias y grabaciones de Tahuri un instrumento de viento elaborado con conchas, gongs To- tobuang, y tambores Tifa, mejor conocidos como el latido Moluca. MERDEKA fue lanzado en el sello mexicano NAAFI.

With their profound take on electronic music, Animistic Be- liefs have steadily solidified their spot in the global under- ground. Influenced by cultural concepts such as ancestry, animism and mythology, as well as the languages of po- litical techno, punk, bubbling and IDM, Linh Luu and Marvin Lalihatu consistently translate their visions into sensitive productions as well as high-octane live performances. On their new record, MERDEKA, the artists explore and em- brace their cultural heritage in all of its pride, pain and com- plexity. MERDEKA symbolizes Animistic Beliefs’ breaking free, coming to terms with their changing selves and letting go of external expectations. The record rethinks childhood memories confront the generational trauma left by (post-) colonialism and re-connects Linh and Marvin respectively of Vietnamese Chinese and Dutch-Moluccan descent with their formative cultures. The record incorporates Indonesian scales and recordings of the Tahuri (a wind instrument made out of a conch shell), Totobuang (Gamelan-like gongs) and Tifa drums, known as ‘the Moluccan heartbeat’. ‘MERDEKA’ was released via the Mexican imprint NAAFI.

Einmusika Recordings invita al internacionalmente aclamado radio host, DJ y productor, Darin Epsilon a crear la séptimo entrega de las series compilatorias de mez- clas EINMIX DJ. Esta compilación de 25 tracks le sigue a la contribución que hizo Marc DePulse en 2021, colocando a Epsilon entre los productores mayormente establecidos en Einmusik, como lo son Lexer, Jonas Saalbach, Carlo Whale, and Marius Drescher, quienes han contribuido en las edi- ciones previas de estas series.
El compilado correspondiente a Darin Epsilon fue lanza- do a todas las plataformas de streamings a partir el día 26 de agosto vía Einmusika Records. El EINMIX de Epsi- lon marca la primera oferta de series del año, presentando 17 ediciones exclusivas del catálogo previo de Einmusika, incluyendo dos producciones de Darin. El tracklist cuenta con selectos cortes musicales de artistas de la talla de Eelke Kleijn, Henry Saiz, Hernán Cattaneo, NTO, Sebastián Leger, Township Rebellion, y Einmusika. Einmusika Recordings invites internationally acclaimed DJ, producer, radio host, and label owner Darin Epsilon for the 7th instalment of their EINMIX DJ mix compilation se- ries. The 25-track compilation follows Marc DePulse’s 2021 contribution and places Epsilon amongst established pro- ducers Einmusik, Lexer, Jonas Saalbach, Carlo Whale, and Marius Drescher, who have all contributed to previous edi- tions of the growing series.
EINMIX by Darin Epsilon was released on August 26th via Einmusika Recordings across all streaming platforms. Ep- silon’s EINMIX marks the first offering from the series this year and features 17 exclusive edits of the Einmusika back catalogue plus two of Darin’s own productions. The track list boasts select cuts from the likes of Eelke Kleijn, Hen- ry Saiz, Hernan Cattaneo, NTO, Sebastien Leger, Township Rebellion, and Einmusika head honcho himself, Einmusik. This is Epsilon’s first long form release since delivering his WE ARE KATERMUKKE DJ mix.
