With the innovative M-iQ BlueFire, the company is responding to customers looking for a way to deal with varying workloads in large-scale catering as well as the strained staff situation in the catering trade. The intelligent cutlery and tray handling contributes to the higher level of automation. The cutlery is demagnetized before it is washed to guarantee better cleaning and drying. The trays are stacked upright to save space, and pass through the machine with a contact time of over two minutes.


“Trays are treated like dishes in the M-iQ BlueFire,” says Johann Wagner, Meiko product manager. “This means that all parts are washed in a manner


optimization. “Greater ergonomics and thus appreciation for the people who use our machines is a matter of course for Meiko, and the focus of all Meiko developments,” adds Hainz. During the development of the M-iQ BlueFire, the engineers worked closely with users. According to Hainz, these two groups are particularly interested in combining two machines in their dishwashing areas into one. The higher degree of automation made possible by automatic infeeding of the trays and their addition to a tray stacker at the end as well as an integrated cutlery collection container permits flexible adjustment to different workloads, without having to neglect the topic of efficiency. “The machine can easily manage a peak load of up to 25 trays per minute,” says Hainz. “What’s more, you end up with a machine that requires less cleaning. All of this increases the overall efficiency of the M-iQ BlueFire enormously, compared with other current application solutions in the market.”
