In conjunction with Backer Calesco’s foil-heating elements, it is usually necessary to arrange some form of control to ensure that the desired temperature is maintained. A foil element has a tiny mass and is quickly heated, so accurate temperature control is needed. This can be achieved in many different ways, depending on a customers’ needs. Backer Calesco can confidently design and fit thermal management systems (such as rigid/flex PCB controllers), a negative temperature coefficient, thermostats, temperature fuses and sensors directly to elements, in accordance with customer specifications. This helps to ensure reliable control.
