Medical device development specialist Arrotek Medical is making new treatment and therapy solutions possible with catheter design, prototyping and production innovations.

“One of the most common features of advanced catheter technologies is ultra-thin walls,” says Richard McLoughlin, sales manager at Arrotek. “Catheters that have minimal wall thicknesses can access parts of the body that have been traditionally difficult to reach. They can also be used to transport treatments with high viscosity levels while minimising the overall width of the catheter. “We define ultra-thin-walled catheter devices as those with wall structures that are less than 0.1mm, or 0.004.”

It also has regulatory and prototyping expertise, as well as a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. developing innovative reinforced solutions using braiding and coiling technologies. “Constantly pushing the boundaries of material capabilities like this allows us to create catheters that have usage applications that were not previously possible.”
