Nine Years of Exceptional Giving

The capital improvement project is a collaborative effort

across campus. Feedback from different departments, including Student Life and the Student Housing Steering Commitee, was incorporated into renovation plans. Throughout the renovation, Queens also worked closely with an independent firm to ensure that the state-of-the-art renewals utilize the latest in energy- efficient engineering. “Ultimately, once renovations are complete, every building

will have a similar look and feel,” said Hicks. “We anticipate these renovations will transform our campus and meet the needs of future generations of students to come.”

More than $465,000 Raised During #QUnited

For the ninth year in a row, the #QUnited giving day campaign drew record participation, raising more than $465,000 for students and university programs. From Feb. 15-March 2, the Queens community showed up in support of #QUnited 2023 with giſts from 1,502 donors, surpassing the goal of 1,400. Donors were encouraged to celebrate

Look for more transformation on campus down the road. In

a few years, Queens will take advantage of a huge infrastructure opportunity to transfer its electric grid to Duke Energy. It's another giant step toward designing a campus fit for the future, while holding onto the rich traditions of its past.

what Queens means to them — whether it was the impact of a liberal arts education, transformative travel opportunities, excellence in athletics or inspiration with the arts. This year, challenges and matches made a significant impact to boost participation. Fiſteen challenges, including $40,000 from the Queens Alumni Association, helped activate donors early to reach 50% of the goal prior to March 2. The largest challenge was from the Queens Board of Trustees, who generously gave a collective $200,000 to reach the goal of 1,400 donors before the campaign ended. Students also showed up in a big way by making 112 donations. Thank you to all who helped to make this

Queens' biggest giving day yet. Your generosity positively impacts the Queens community.
