Kaylee Comer graduated from Bowen School of Law in Litle Rock, Arkansas, in May 2023. She has accepted


a job as a prosecuting atorney in her hometown of Springfield, Missouri. She looks forward to finishing the bar exam and starting her career!


Aſter working at a well-respected mental health practice in Charlote for the past eight years, Tarik Sloussi decided to put his Queens business degree to good use and opened his own private mental health practice in 2023 titled Casablanca Counseling, PLLC.


On March 2, 2023, Emmie Horadam married Ryan Bhagrati in a private ceremony officiated by


the United States Secretary of the Interior, Deb Haaland, in Washington, D.C. They live in Capitol Hill, with their cat Selwyn.


Dr. Bailey Moss obtained her bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science at Queens. While at Queens, she was part of the Royals cheerleading program and a Chi Omega sorority member. Upon graduating, she received her doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic. In Jan. 2023, Dr. Moss founded Carolina Spine & Sport Chiropractic located in Hendersonville, North Carolina. She credits Queens for seting her up for success!


Linda Nelson retired from her corporate job and went back to college to learn a new career. She graduated from Central Piedmont in Dec. 2022 with an associate degree in applied science in horticulture technology. Also, in 2022, she earned a certificate in native plant studies and Landscape for LifeTM

Months aſter starting in her new role at Charlote Ballet, Claire Lechtenberg joined the Charlote Chapter of


the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), serving as the communications chair. Claire is excited to continue impacting Charlote's philanthropic sector with the skills she began refining at Queens.


Amanda Yeater Vega has reached her two-year anniversary as a registered nurse at Carolinas Medical


Center Main in Charlote where she works as an oncology nurse. She enjoys precepting students and new graduates and is working to obtain her oncology nurse certification.


Perla Bustos is currently working in Asheville, North Carolina, as a staff interpreter at Pisgah

low-income families in Western North Carolina to have access to basic needs. She helps Spanish speaking clients overcome language barriers so they can be well informed of their rights. Perla’s Spanish professors at Queens provided her with the skills necessary to work in a professional seting and knowledge of legal terms.

Chiara Pierobon Mays began her first year at the University of Wisconsin Law School this fall. So far, she has received a Dean's List award, been accepted to an esteemed law and entrepreneurship clinic, and secured a summer law clerk position in downtown Madison. Chiara atributes her success to the Queens professors, Vandiver Center for Career Development, and the women's swimming team, who helped her to achieve her goal of going to law school.

Evan L. Boyer made the startling discovery in Feb. 2023 that a T-shirt is a serviceable substitute for


a pillowcase when the later is in short supply. Boyer is currently conducting additional research on the mater and expects to publish his findings in a pertinent scientific journal before the year is out.

Natalie Van Noy is currently an M.Ed. candidate at Vanderbilt University and is interning with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention team. She is utilizing research to create a more inclusive space for children with disabilities in the emergency department and intensive care setings. One of her future projects includes creating coping kits for children with autism in waiting room areas, with the goal of decreasing their anxiety and providing normalization.
