point of sale...point of sale... the taxi shop expands its sales forCe
In a tough market The Taxi Shop has increased its sales force by employing two further people to cope with the ever increasing demand on some of its new and exciting products that we have launched or are in the process of being launched. The newest member Stuart Marsdon (pictured left) joined the team only four weeks ago and
is already proving to be a strong team member, winning some new accounts through his telesales skills. Stuart says when he was offered the position he was amazed how much The Taxi Shop had to offer its customers with the amount of built stock ready to go. He says his success was made easier due to customers being able to purchase from our new and used vehicles at The Taxi Shop. His fastest turnround was when a customer agreed a deal and then collected the vehicle just over four hours later on a used Ford Custom.
2019 was a tough year for every taxi supplier in the trade, says Rob Breuilly M.D (pictured right) but this year has started with a bang. The upturn in sales has driven the conversion side of the business and as a result we are now looking for staff in this area to ensure we can meet the customers’ needs on a fast turnround, and with no problems selling diesels or hybrids until 2035 the
market has settled down and we are looking forward to the future. The used vehicle business grew massively last year for us, selling nearly new models still under manufacturers’ warranty for the customer on a tight budget, as well as supplying conversions for customers with existing vehicles, with one outside supplier ordering four WAVs at one time. For any future customer I now believe with the government making a decision to continue selling diesel vehicles up and until 2035 has given me that peace of mind that sales will increase again this year.
