CAB MY RIDE IN SOUTHAMPTON ANNOUNCE ACQUISITION OF MILLERS TAXIS
Cab My Ride, a family-run taxi service based in the heart of Southampton, is pleased to announce its acquisition of Millers Taxis following the acquisition of Bitterne Cars earlier this year. Millers Taxis has been an integral part of the community since its inception; a household name everyone knows! The company was formed with vehicles owned by the company offering a high-quality service, including local and airport transfers. However, due to Covid, as the company was left in a vulnerable position, Cab My Ride has integrated it into its platform. Cab My Ride provides on-demand transport services to customers across the South of England and can now extend this offering to rural areas where typically it would

be difficult to get a taxi. This is thanks to the acquisition of 13 MPVs from Millers, vehicles which are rare to currently get in the city and now brings the Cab My Ride fleet to 300+ drivers across the city. The total consideration for the acquisition is a six-figure amount. Timothy Miller said: “I’m excited to retire from the industry and the team is thrilled to move over and open the business to
new
opportunities.” Following the acquisition, the Eastleigh operations will benefit
from the expertise of a bigger team, with more resources and capital to invest in technology, customer service and vehicles. The deal will also open opportunities for an additional 70 new Eastleigh licensed drivers who will join their team. Cab My Ride has retained all current staff at Millers and is looking to expand its team by five members, which will allow them to develop its clear vision as an innovative player within the marketplace. Arjan Sahota, Director of Cab My Ride said: “There’s an exciting time coming for Cab My Ride, as we continue to expand our business throughout the South Coast. “This acquisition allows us to open up to a new market and grow our ability to
serve thousands of
customers with reliable transport." DECEMBER 2022 PHTM
