Southwest Valley residents seeking access to housing and human services have a one-stop shop facility in Avondale.


Services Offered Include: ` Tutoring in English and literacy ` Teen pregnancy support ` Employment services ` Parent education


` AHCCCS, TANF, SNAP and Affordable Care Act Application and Enrollment


` WIC (Women, Infant and Children) Services


` Rental and utility assistance ` Citizenship classes ` Medicare benefits counseling ` Housing assistance, programs and referrals ` Legal aid services ` Domestic violence support groups ` Veteran resources


The first of its kind in the Southwest Valley, this multifaceted hub for human services is made possible by the innovative public/private partnership between Care1st Health Plan of Arizona, Inc., First Things First and the City of Avondale. Services are funded in part under contract with the State of Arizona.

(VITA) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program


Individuals with an income less than $55,000 are eligible to have their taxes prepared FREE. You will need to bring specific tax information with you so please contact the center for a complete list of documents to bring.

Free classes held twice a week for people


interested in becoming a U.S. Citizen. The classes help students prepare for the civics exam that is part of the application for naturalization with U.S. Citizenship and
