RECOGNISING THE BEST OF US
It was a standout evening as the winners of the 2026 Red Rose Awards were revealed at Lancashire’s biggest celebration of business excellence.
Hosted by Lancashire Business View at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool, the event was attended by more than 1,000 guests.
VARS Technology was the big winner on the night, taking home two awards in the AI and Tech Innovation and Medium Business categories.
The Blackpool-based business delivers advanced security and management solutions to prevent losses from petrol forecourts.
John Garnett, director of VARS Technology, said: “We were blown away to receive the first award, and then to be recognised a second time came as a real surprise.
“We are incredibly proud of what we have built and grateful to our team, whose work makes it possible.
“Since launching in 2019, the business has grown rapidly and we are committed to continuing that growth while creating local employment.
“Our technology is helping forecourts tackle persistent issues around crime
management and provides specialist plant and commercial truck and van servicing.
Josh Sweeney, its director of marketing and growth, paid tribute to the Multevo team. He said: “We have done tremendous things in a short space of time.”

and theft, solving real challenges for operators day to day.”
Darwen-based Multevo received the Lancashire Business View award, selected by the organisers from across all of the evening’s categories.
The business specialises in highways and traffic
It was also an evening of celebration for Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses, which picked up the Transformation award three years after a devastating fire.
The Hall family’s efforts to rebuild the business began even as firefighters were still tackling the aftermath of the blaze.
