The new owners of Northcote have revealed ambitious plans for the Michelin-starred Ribble Valley hotel and restaurant.
The award-winning venue was put up for sale by the Stafford Collection last October and has now been acquired by Silkstone Finance, the investment vehicle for Alf and Clare Ellis, for an undisclosed sum.
The husband-and-wife team, who also run West Yorkshire based kitchen manufacturer Ultima, say they are eager to begin “a new and exciting
chapter” for Northcote. Lisa Goodwin-Allen, who announced her departure from Northcote in March 2025 after 23 years, is also returning to the country house hotel as chef patron-director.
A new fine dining restaurant led by Lisa is part of the complete refurbishment of the hotel being promised by the owners, while the existing restaurant space will be transformed into a “more relaxed brasserie”.
