Who we are
The premier provider of sport, arts, entertainment, health and community programmes throughout Pendle. We aim to provide affordable enjoyment for the whole family across our numerous facilities.
Established in 2000, on behalf of Pendle Council, Pendle Leisure Trust is responsible for operating three leisure centres, an athletics and fitness centre, a theatre, a spa and a golf course.
What we’ve achieved
We’re working hard on improving the customer journey throughout the business which has resulted in a 100 per cent increase of our online memberships.
Our awareness campaign has increased revenue across the sports centres and the spa but more importantly it has increased the footfall of all ages, providing a place in the community that will hopefully last for generations to come.

From the beautiful countryside to the historic towns, our rich diversity and strong heritage make Pendle a great place to reside and enjoy.
I love that Pendle has such a strong feeling of community, each town is individually proud with a lot to offer, but as a whole, it’s a district that is one in a million.

REM can trace its roots back to the early 1900’s and has been part of the Pendle economy throughout its existence.
The Company designs, manufactures and distributes furniture and equipment for the hairdressing, barbering and beauty industry from its factory in Nelson. Employing approximately 65 people, the Company prides itself on providing quality, British made products to the UK, Europe and beyond.
What we’ve achieved
REM have recognised its own responsibility to the challenges Global Warming brings and have developed a range of products designed to improve sustainability and reduce its carbon footprint. There is much work to be done to reach the targets that have been set but the new REM-Earth Range is now on a pathway that goes a long way to ensure that this can be achieved.

The quality of the REM range demonstrates the wealth of skills the Pendle area has and the abilities local people in the area bring to the economy. With joinery, upholstery and assembly being at the heart of our manufacturing process, our conscientious and loyal design and administrative team also complement what Pendle has to offer.
