BLACKBURN FIRM ACQUIRES LONG-ESTABLISHED HOME
Stevens Traceability Systems of Greenbank Technology Park, Blackburn, has purchased the 10,000 sq ft premises in which it has operated for the last 25 years.
The firm develops software in-house which complements their weighing and traceability systems used by leading food manufacturers across the UK and Ireland. It employs more than 50 people.
Mike Wynburg, managing director, says: “Despite an unpredictable time over the last couple of years with the global pandemic, we now want to show our staff and customers our commitment to providing a place of work for local people.”
The firm is currently recruiting for several roles and has ambitions to grow the business over the coming years.
Haslingden-based Digital Britain is planning a major expansion, including the creation of 25 new jobs, after receiving a £300,000 loan from Rosebud.
Nelson and Colne College Group has received ‘outstanding’ ratings across all three colleges in a new Ofsted inspection. Burnley Artisan Market significantly boosts town centre footfall compared to non-event Saturdays, data from Charter Walk has shown. The shopping centre has been monitoring the figures since the Artisan Market was introduced in September 2021, and on average 3,000 extra people visit Burnley town centre for the event.
