undertaking its own development projects in partnership with private and public sector organisations. Recent projects include Frontier Park in Blackburn, a student accommodation scheme for the University of Central Lancashire in Burnley and various housing developments across the North West. The company’s profits were further boosted by significant fair value gains on investment properties.

Merlin Cycles has grown from a mail-order bike shop to a retailer with a store in Ormskirk to a manufacturer of both road and mountain bikes. The company benefitted from increased demand for outdoor recreational equipment during lockdown restrictions.
