developerswithgreaterdesignfreedom, accordingtoPolypipeBuilding Products. TheSewersCodeforAdoptionguidance, introducedinApril, includesa standardisedsetofdeliveryproceduresandaDesignandConstruction Guidancedocument that replaces theexistingSewers forAdoption
manual.Allwatercompaniesarenowworkingtothesechangesmadein accordancewithSection104of theWater IndustryAct1991. This representsasignificantchangetopracticewhichwillaffect the adoptionof sustainabledrainagesystems (SuDS)andbelowground drainagesystemsonalldevelopment sites inEngland. Thechanges totheregulationsnowmeanthatdeveloperscanusea greater rangeofmaterials for
seweragesystems.Theycannowopt forcost effective, light-in-weightbut reliableanddurableplasticsystems forbelow grounddrainageandsewer systems,aswellasdesignandintroduceSuDS systemsusingthelatest indrainagetechnology. Polypipehasanextensiveproductportfolioofbelowgrounddrainage pipes includingtheUK’s largest rangeof sewerpipes,fittingsand chambers
forcommercialandresidentialprojects.Thepipesareavailable indiameters from110mmupto3,000mmandmakeinstallationfasterdue totheflexibility, strengthandeasyhandlingproperties. Polypipehasalsobeenapioneer inthedevelopmentof sustainable drainagesystems,withgeocellular systemsdesignedtoprovidehousing developerswithwater storageandattenuationsolutions tokeep developments safefromlocalisedfloodingandtosustainablymanage surfacewater runoff,without increasingtheburdenonnaturalwater coursesandrivers.
