A perfectionist, Kako takes the time to


ask journalists about their first impressions of the vehicle and how they felt driving it. These conversations are her way of learning more about her product from those who’ll be sharing their experiences with potential customers of the UX across the globe. The feedback is generally complimentary, owing to the good work done on the car. One journalist says he was struck by how quiet and well insulated the cabin is and that the only noise he could hear was that of the friction of the tyres on the road. On hearing this, Kako quietly reflects and explains why that might have been the case. Ultimately, she hopes the Lexus UX will


inspire a new sense of adventure in all those who drive it.


DRIVING IMPRESSION Sweden’s capital, Stockholm, stands out as


one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, with its exquisite Scandinavian architecture which balances classic elegance with modern, cutting-edge design – the perfect location to unveil the new Lexus UX. The city’s setting on islands, with large


bodies of water throughout, provided magnificent reflections of the UX as it criss-crossed the cobbled and tarred roads, showing off its unique design, which defies the “boxy” SUV design language. The vehicle heralds a bold, new era for


Lexus, targeting young urban warriors who are confident in their identities and know what they want in their automobiles. The UX is built on key pillars of design,


performance, luxury, technology and first- class safety. Its engineers and designers have produced a robust, compact SUV with traces of a sports coupé that delivers a gratifying experience.
