Pop songstress Ella Eyre got the party started with
a medley of her hits, including Came Here For Love and Just Got Paid, which got guests to their feet. She also showcased a new release called Head in the Ground – which was, judging by the reaction on the dance floor, added to many playlists after the event.
STAR NAMES Of course, the Globes have seen plenty of other legends take the stage, so this year’s special guests will have big boots to fill. In 2023, Jason Manford wowed the crowd with a surprise appearance, while Lulu lit up the stage with a lively performance of Relight My Fire, her 1993 collaboration with Take That. But that wasn’t all – she also spoke about her experience of performing and cruising with sponsor Imagine Holidays on some of its signature and tailor-made sailings.
In previous years, guests have been enthralled by high-profile hosts such as James Corden, Michael McIntyre, Harry Hill, John Barrowman, Richard E Grant, David Walliams and Rylan Clark joining Huxley to hand out the awards, while musical sensations Blue, Fleur East, Katherine Jenkins, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Lemar and Peter Andre have all lent their vocal stardust to get the audience in the party mood.
