The countdown is on to reveal our celebrity host for the Globe Travel Awards 2025

It wouldn’t be a Globes ceremony without an A-list guest – or three! Whether they make you laugh out loud or get you up on the dance floor, our top-notch music acts and celebrity hosts have an important role to play in making the night extra special.

The Travel Weekly team has been busy lining up

the perfect stars to host the event at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London – but as the previous line-up of entertainers shows, the Globes always give the travel industry a chance to kick off the year in celebrity style.

COMEDY CENTRAL In 2024, comedian Rob Beckett – whose appearance was sponsored by Celestyal – blew the post-Christmas cobwebs away for the 1,200 attendees with a hilarious set about his holiday escapades, before helping Travel

MUSICAL MAGIC Russell Watson enraptured us all with his tenor tones last January. As the first musical performance of the night (courtesy of Imagine Cruising), he was tasked with opening the awards ceremony – which he duly did with a rousing rendition of Nessun Dorma, a moving aria from Puccini’s opera Turandot. It was a fitting performance, given Watson has performed on Uniworld sailings in Venice and gave a stunning show on the maiden voyage of Cunard’s Queen Anne earlier this year.

Weekly editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley present the awards to our deserving winners. Not only that, but he also made five ticket holders feel very lucky indeed when he handed out Celestyal’s surprise prizes – diamond and pearl Tiffany necklaces, worth £1,000 each.
