EasyJet holidays’ Unpacked Fam
and experiences from across the ITC group. The list was designed to help agents navigate the brands, with each experience including a dedicated marketing toolkit. As ever, agent training remains core to suppliers’
trade campaigns this year. Sandals reintroduced its fun quiz nights in autumn, while the Pacific Asia Travel Association (Pata) offered training from suppliers in the Middle East for the first time at its London roadshow. To mark its 26th year, Tipto announced an autumn and winter training schedule comprising six roadshows, three training days and one SuperShow.
HELPING HAND We’ve also seen a host of other initiatives to embrace the trade, among them the launch of Gold Medal’s Curated Offers service in September, which gives agents access to thousands of quotes and offers to share with clients or use on social channels. In addition, Club Med upgraded its agent portal to
simplify its booking process, Travelopia released agent booking incentives including Ray-Bans worth £150 and trade-only operator Every Holiday launched. Jet2holidays and Tui, meanwhile, are helping to
shape the travel industry of the future. In August, Jet2 announced that it was doubling the funding for its Appoint an Apprentice initiative to £1.2 million for 2024-25, in a bid to support independent agents in developing the next generation of talent across the sector. Tui has also released a virtual work experience
programme in conjunction with careers service Springpod to give students aged 14 and over an insight into working in the travel and tourism industry, alongside its existing apprenticeship programme.
