Fam trips with a twist, fun-focused training events and smoother booking platforms were among this year’s efforts to woo the trade


Agents across the UK were encouraged to unleash their inner Swifties this year when G Adventures offered the chance to watch the megastar live on her Eras Tour in London. It was all part of the operator’s You Belong with G Experience campaign, launched at the beginning of 2024, and was just one of a plethora of rewards offered by operators to thank hard-working travel agents for their efforts.

of Gold Medal, while Just Go Holidays offered agents the chance to win Zara vouchers and If Only gave away luxury holidays and other prizes as part of its mini-peaks campaign. SPL Villas introduced a new agent concession programme and Titan Travel launched a new rewards platform, offering agents points based on the value of a booking.

TRIPS AND TRAINING Agents were also whisked away to learn on the job with a whole host of fam trips. Gold Medal’s biggest multi- centre fam of the year took place in September for 24 agents, with groups visiting the Maldives, Mauritius, Thailand or Abu Dhabi, before getting together in Dubai. In a bid to “break the mould of the traditional


fam trip”, easyJet holidays took 30 agents on its Unpacked Fam. In the style of TV’s Race Across the World, agents were challenged with venturing through Ibiza and Majorca on foot, public transport or by ferry, using clues in a specially designed app. To celebrate 50 years in the business, ITC invited


more than 50 agents on its fam trips. The operator also created an Around the World compilation of 50 Experiences for 50 Years, showcasing wish-list holidays
