The Mill at Sonning theatre in Reading has announced full casting for this year’s
Christmas musical My Fair Lady. Among the cast are: Bethan Nash as Eliza Dootlittle; Martin Fisher as Professor Higgins; Phil Snowden as Alfred Doolittle; and Spencer O’Brien as Harry. Performances at The Mill at Sonning begin on November 23.

Gwen Taylor (pictured) will star as Lady Bracknell in the 2018 UK tour of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, alongside Susan Penhaligon as Miss Prism. The tour begins on January 24
at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, ending on April 28 in Eastbourne. Taylor is best known for playing the title role in the
sitcom Barbara, as well as roles in Coronation Street, Heartbeat, A Bit of A Do and Duty Free. Penhaligon is currently appearing
in Rufus Norris’s production of Cabaret and has a wide range of TV credits to her name, including Upstairs Downstairs, Tales of the Unexpected and Bergerac.

Bourne’s Cinderella returns to London
New Adventures dance company has revealed casting for the return of Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella. The tour opens on December 9 at Sadler’s Wells in London, where it plays a seven-week season until January 27.

Matilda The Musical is on the move
The first UK and Ireland tour by the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of Matilda The Musical will run during 2018 and 2019. The winner of 85 international
awards, the company’s touring production of Matilda The Musical will open at Leicester Curve, playing March 5-24. From there it will move to Dublin Bord Gais Energy Theatre (April 4-28), Sunderland Empire (May 8-June 2), Milton Keynes Theatre (June 5-30), Birmingham Hippodrome (July 3-September 8), Manchester Palace (September 18- November 24) and Cardiff Wales Millennium Centre (December 4- January 12, 2019).
