� Unesco sites The city has overtaken Glasgow to become the fifth most visited UK destination for overseas visitors, with 671,000 in 2016. There is extensive coach parking
across the city centre, and coach welcome schemes at Albert Dock, Liverpool ONE and Liverpool Cathedral. The Liverpool Maritime Mercantile City is a Unesco World Heritage Site and Liverpool is a Unesco City of Music. Most of the major attractions within
walking distance of each other, and the city is a popular base from which to explore the rest of the north west. Liverpool’s transport links to Ireland
make it an overnight stay option for onward travel to Dublin and Belfast.

� Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, will be the patron of Liverpool’s 2018 International Business Festival, at the Exhibition Centre, Liverpool (June 12-28). It will bring together businesses
from the UK and around the world to access practical advice, make connections and hear presentations from industry experts. New business deals valued at
£250 million were agreed at the most recent edition of the festival in 2016, with 500 UK companies securing export deals worth more than £87 million. The Duke praised British
business, saying that the UK’s prosperity relied on its ingenuity and dynamism. He has also championed UK trade
via the GREAT campaign in China, Japan and the US. Supported by the Department
for International Trade, the event will be held across nine days, with a focus on sport, culture and travel
