Even a simple stroll along the Strip is a sight to behold. We pass feather-bedecked Vegas showgirls, someone dressed up as a superhero and another as SpongeBob SquarePants, and no one seems to bat an eye. Music spills out of every open doorway, one pumping track after another, and y>Ãhin} LillLo>À`à Li>m >`à voÀ v>Ãhion LÀ>n`à and blockbuster acts on a never-ending loop. We see the dancing fountains and lights show at the Bellagio] Ü>ÌVh wiÀÞ ¼l>Û>½ ëiÜin} vÀom the volcano at the Mirage, and marvel over the intricate Trevi Fountain at Caesars Palace. It’s total sensory overload – and I love every minute.


WHAT’S NEW?


The one thing you can bank on in Las Vegas is there’s always some new opening just around the corner – whether it’s a hot New York restaurant making its desert debut or a celebrity act announcing a new residency. Last month, the Wynn Las Vegas revamped its 18-hole golf course – the only one linked to a hotel on the Strip – with the help of architect Tom Fazio, as part of a proposed $3 billion development project across its Las Vegas properties. It sits on the same spot as the old Desert Inn Golf Club, beloved by celebs and pro golfers since the 1950s.
